Whether you’re new to the world of running your own business or a seasoned veteran there are traits that all successful entrepreneurs have, or develop, to give them the edge and the best chance of success.

These are what I call the ‘must do’s’ for running a successful business, so keep this list close at hand and review it on a regular basis to keep you on track:

1. Develop the ability to see what others want/need/desire through your own research, findings and searching. As my business partner Neil Travers always says, “keep your head up and eyes open, opportunities are all around.”

2. You don’t have to invent a brand new product to be successful. Look for the gap in the market gap for a new product/service or the development and improvement of an existing product or service. To know why Adsense is essential for your content sites is to know first how this works.

The concept is really simple, if you think about it. The publisher or the webmaster inserts a java script into a certain website. Each time the page is accessed, the java script will pull advertisements from the Adsense program. The ads that are targeted should therefore be related to the content that is contained on the web page serving the ad. If a visitor clicks on an advertisement, the webmaster serving the ad earns a portion of the money that the advertiser is paying the search engine for the click.

The search engine is the one handling all the tracking and payments, providing an easy way for webmasters to display content-sensitive and targeted ads without having the hassle to solicit advertisers, collect funds, monitor the clicks and statistics which could be a time-consuming task. It seems that there is never a shortage of advertisers in the program from which the search engine pulls the Adsense ads. What You Need

You need a domain name, a hosting account, and a niche topic. Preferably the niche is one that you know something about. That makes it easier to fill it with content.

If you want to make a good income with one or two Web sites then good content is a must. Your goal is to create a site that attracts people and keeps them coming back.

Our goal right now is to determine the kinds of websites you could create to best serve you affiliate marketing concerns.

As an affiliate, here are a number of website models you could decide to employ. Lets take a look at them.

You could create a free website, preferably using a blogging software like that offered by blogger.com or wordpress.com , which seeks to review the products that are released in the market. Here is the deal, though. Review the products you are promoting. Naturally, you would want your reviews to be favorable for the merchants offerings. So stress the beneficial points of the products so that your visitors may be encouraged to click on your affiliate link and be redirected to the merchants sales page.
